Get Rid Of Psoriasis For Good

I First Started Getting Psoriasis Around The Age Of 26

HOW TO GET RID OF PSORIASIS.. SERIOUSLY!

It was when I worked at a steakhouse as a cook. I was eating a lot of beef and white bread because it was free. Somebody would mess up a steak or burger at least twice a day, and boom, I had a free meal. I ate beef and white bread almost everyday for two years. Not a good choice.

Red spots starts showing up around my eyelashes and above my lip. Then they started flaking and getting gross, then it started in my hair, little crusty bumps. I didnt know what to do, I didnt have health care, so I couldnt go to the doctor. And it wasnt that bad.

During the next summer I played a lot of basketball outside with no shirt on and it went away. Getting a tan apparently makes psoriasis disappear. But I was also thinking, oh it goes away in the summer, who cares.

I went back to college and started drinking black coffee twice a morning and feeling stressed out. I think the black coffee and stress made the psoriasis return. During that winter it got really bad. The red dots became huge and dry, it felt like my skin was made of rocks. I kept putting lotions on it recommended by some of my female friends, all of which contained alcohol and fragrance, which actually made it worse. When I would reach up to grab things, the dots would crack and bleed.

I was really scared to eat differently like actually scared. How could I ever live without disgusting food and Pepsi on a daily basis?

Beware Of Miracle Diets

Even though there’s no proof, you’ll find dozens of psoriasis diets described in books and on websites. At some point, almost every food has been blamed for an outbreak, and there are just as many theories about which foods might be helpful.

You may feel so frustrated with your psoriasis that you’re ready to try anything. Donââ¬â¢t let desperation make you gullible.

If you’re thinking about trying a psoriasis diet, talk to your doctor first. Theyââ¬â¢ll probably tell you that any diet that cuts down on the amount of junk food and alcohol you eat and drink is OK.

Stay away from extreme diets that claim to cure psoriasis with things like fasting or enemas. They won’t work and can even be dangerous. And don’t assume that supplements are helpful or even safe. Always talk to your doctor before using any supplements or alternative medicines.

Acupuncture Benefits For Psoriasis

Acupuncture may help treat psoriasis in several different ways. Its an effective stress reliever and stress is a common trigger of psoriasis flares. It can also help relieve pain, especially in cases of psoriatic arthritis.

More research is needed in this area. But some anecdotal evidence does suggest that acupuncture can be an effective treatment for psoriasis.

This includes potentially having the ability to reduce symptoms or lead to psoriasis remission.

Research on the topic includes the following:

  • A 2016 overview of literature claimed that acupuncture treatment for psoriasis could be effective with minimal side effects.
  • A 2017 review of 13 randomized trials states that acupuncture-adjacent treatments, such as acupressure, could be considered as a complementary therapy for treatment of psoriasis and encouraged additional research. Acupressure is a highly satisfactory complementary therapy that can demonstrate a clinically significant decrease in self-rated pain and anxiety scores. This may be helpful for reducing psoriasis triggers like stress.
  • A 2004 study of 80 participants saw a 91.3 percent effectiveness rate in alleviating psoriasis symptoms after just five acupuncture sessions.

Anti-inflammatory foods are generally healthy, so it shouldn’t hurt to give them a try. They include:

There are several forms of facial psoriasis. They all involve skin thats itchy, painful, and irritated.

Psoriasis around the eyes can lead to red, crusty eyelids, and eyelashes potentially rubbing against the eye. Psoriasis can also appear inside and around the ear, potentially affecting your hearing.

Scratching psoriasis lesions can also lead to broken skin and, in some cases, infection. Psoriasis can affect your self-image and general quality of life, too.

Plaque psoriasis is the most common form, and it tends to appear as raised, scaly patches. Guttate psoriasis, on the other hand, comes with pink spots that are smaller and less thick.

Erythrodermic psoriasis is rare. It tends to come with a widespread red rash, swings in body temperature, and a potentially increased vulnerability to infection.
