Good But Packaging Is Bad
The product itself is very good but ….I was impressed when I bought this from a Body Shop store so I ordered another two online. They arrived looking like there was only half of the product in the container, I emailed the company who explained they were packed by weight and that it could have moved when shipped. Why then was the first container I bought packed to the rim? And why, if that is the Body Shop reason, is there not a note on the product to explain this. For such a pricey product I would expect better product presentation and explanation. Very disappointing – and unacceptable – for such a business with its reputation.

I was excited to try this oil since I find most shower gels too drying for me. My skin gets very dry and I find I cannot use soaps on my skin without it feeling stripped and dried out. In the past I have used The Body Shop® shower creams which were less harsh on my skin.
The shower oil comes out as a brown oil but when it mixes with water it lathers up like a foam. It is recommended by The Body Shop® for ultra dry skin and is claimed to protect the skins natural moisture barrier. Clinical trials in fact showed that The Body Shop® Hemp Shower Oil increased skin hydration by one third after use.
I found that the smell was similar to the Overnight Mask but less overpowering. The product felt very silky on my skin and didnt feel at all like a soap or shower gel. It lathered up with water, and I couldnt feel any sense that my skin had been stripped . I also noticed that there was no scent on my skin afterwards. I find with many soaps and shower gels you are left with a slight scent on your skin. This was not the case at all with this product. After getting out of the shower my skin felt moisturised and hydrated.
For anyone with very dry skin who cannot use soaps I highly recommend this product.
